On the Artistic Sources of Han Yu's Poems

Abstract
The success of Han Yu's poems has an important relation on his attitude of learning from the former poets. This article briefly discusses on the sources and indebtedness of the art of Han Yu's poems. They are as follows: Shi Jing and the ancient poetry of Han-Wei; Quyuan's Sao,Han Fu,myth and legend, literary sketches and biographies; Baozhao, Xie Linyun, Tao Yuanming and Wen Xuan ; Chen Zi'ang, Libai, Dufu and Mengjiao and so on. Meantime, on the basis of learning from the former, he can do his own artistic innovation.
