Abstract

ObjectiveTo study the effects of Rhizoma Chuanxiong,Radix Paeoniae Alba and the drug-pairs on mouse uterine smooth muscle contraction in vitro.MethodsMouse uterine smooth muscle contraction models was used to evaluate the effect on the rate of contraction and amplitude induced by oxytocin and the inhibition ratio was counted.ResultsThe water extracts of Rhizoma Chuanxiong and Radix Paeoniae Alba and the drug-pairs could inhibit the rate of contraction,and the middle dose groups of Radix Paeoniae Alba and the drug-pairs,the large dose group of Radix Paeoniae Alba and the low dose group of drug-pairs had significant difference as compared to control group(P0.01).For the amplitude of contraction,the large dose group of Radix Paeoniae Alba had statistic difference(P0.05).ConclusionThe water extracts of Rhizoma Chuanxiong and Radix Paeoniae Alba and the drug-pairs have certain pharmacological effects on mouse uterine smooth muscle contractions in vitro.
