In the history of Chinese literature,Peking School is too complicated and difficult to clarify.The reason lies in the elusiveness of the signified and the signifier in Peking School.Furthermore,some scholars even go to extremes to reject the features of Peking School.In a word,the ambiguity and diversification of notions on Peking School result from the fact that different people view Peking School from diverse perspectives of aesthetics,class and culture,etc.By probing into and clarifying all kinds of original data,an attempt is ventured in this paper to reveal,define and describe historical facts of Peking School.
