Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish an analytical method for determination of polyprenols in Ginkgo biloba leaves.METHODS HPLC was applied using Kromasil ODS column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm).The mobile phase consisted of isopropanol-methanol-hexane-water(50∶25∶15∶2) and the flow rate was 0.9 ml·min~(-1),the column temperature was 27℃ and the UV detection wavelength was 210 nm.RESULTS The linearity was obtained over the range of 1.08-2.88 μg·ml~(-1)(r=0.9979).The average recovery was 96.8%(RSD2%,(n=3).)CONCLUSION The method is rapid,accurate,stable and can be used for quantitative determination of polyprenols in Ginkgo biloba leaves.
