Abstract
Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of foot acupoints massage combined with the regular treatment on the bloodstream status and nerve conduction of the patients with high risk of diabetic foot. Methods:In the randomized control clinical study,40 diabetics were divided into the basic therapy group(20 subjects receiving regular treatment) and combined therapy(20 subjects receiving foot acupoints massage based on the regular treatment). The curative effect, foot paraesthesia(VAS score),neuroelectricity examination,ankle-brachial index of the two cohorts were evaluated before and after 12 weeks of therapy. Results:The acroanesthesia, soreness, cold sensation, hypoesthesia, nerve conduction velocity and the amplitude of evoked potential in combined therapy group were significantly improved,as compared with the control group(P0.01).Furthermore,its total effective rate was significantly higher than that of the basic therapy group(85% vs 30%,P0.01).Conclusion:Foot acupoints massage could improve the bloodstream status and clinical symptom of diabetic neuropathy at the early stage. The therapy should be generalized in clinical practice for its role in decreasing the risk of diabetic foot and lessoning ulcer occurrence.
