The Intervention Effect of Foot Acupoints Massage on Nerve Electrophysiology of Diabetic Foot

OBJECTIVE To observe nerve electrophysiology effect of foot acupoints massage combined routine treatment on patients with Wagner grade 0 diabetic foot.METHODS 40 patients who met the criterion were randomized divided into two groups.20 patients in experimental group were given routine treatment plus foot acupoints massage.20 patients in control group on only received routine treatment such as diet control,proper exercise,patient education and drug therapy.Afterwards,nerve electrophysiological change of median nerve and sural nerve of all cases were observed.RESULTS In terms of nerve conduction velocity,delitescence and wave amplitude,improvement of patients in experimental group were much better than those of control group after treatment(P0.05).CONCLUSION Routine treatment in combination with foot acupoints massage could signifiantly improve Wagner grade 0 foot neuropathy of diabetic patients.
