Abstract
Objective: In this experiment, some special properties of bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) are investigated such as proliferation, alkaline phosphate (ALP) activity, and total protein synthesis ability. Methods: BMSCs' proliferation, ALP activity and total protein synthesis ability was measured separately by MTT method, enzyme dynamic method, Biophotometer. Results: EMPs at certain concentrations: enhanced proliferation of BMSCs; improved ALP activity in BMSCs; increased total protein production by BMSCs. 100 mg/L is the best concentration that had the strongest promotion of BMSCs' special properties. The promotion ability was significant at 120 h, 72 h, 168 h for proliferation, ALP activity and total protein synthesis of BMSCs separately. Conclusion: EMPs can act as a kind of promotive factor for BMSCs.
