Abstract
Objective To study the method and effect with keyhole approach for microsurgical treatment of sellar region meningioma. Methods Analyze 5 cases of meningiomas in sellar region, which were treated with keyhole approach for microsurgical technique in our department from October 2006 to October 2007,study the method and effect of the surgery. Results All tumors were totally removed with the microsurgical skill(SimpsonⅠgrade).2 cases had diabetes insipidus and 1 case had cerebral salt wasting syndrome, were cured between 1 to 2 weeks.Improved visual acuity and eyeshot in all patients. Conclusion Keyhole approach for microsurgical technique is the preferable method for the tumors in sellar region, the tumors can totally removed and much less hurt for the patients.
