Abstract
Aim:To value the detection of serum AFU,ADA,PA,ChE,TBA for the diagnosis of hepatitis by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves. Methods:A total of 186 patients with hepatitis(23 cases of acute hepatitis,26 cases of chronic hepatitis,76 cases of cirrhosis and 61 cases of severe hepatitis) and 68 normal persons as the control were subjected to measure the level of serum AFU,ADA,PA,ChE and TBA by automatic biochemical analyzer. The results were evaluated by ROC curve. Results: AFU and ADA were significantly higher in acute hepatitis patients and the AUC of AFU and ADA were 0.813(95% CI was 0.743~0.892) and 0.611(95% CI was 0.542~0.683),respectively.TBA was significantly higher in chronic hepatitis patients, and the AUC was 0.762(95% CI was 0.683~0.847).ADA and TBA were significantly higher in cirrhosis patients, and AUC of ADA and TBA were 0.667(95% CI was 0.595~0.738) and 0.621(95% CI was 0.563~0.702),respectively.PA and ChE were lower in severe hepatitis patients, and AUC of PA and ChE were 0.861(95% CI was 0.663~0.921) and 0.849(95% CI was 0.762~0.913),respectively.Conclusion:AFU and ADA were helpful for the diagnosis of acute hepatitis.TBA was helpful for the diagnosis of chronic hepatitis.ADA and TBA was helpful for the diagnosis of liver cirrhosis as well as PA and Che for the diagnosis of severe hepatitis.
