An Analysis of Bladder Cancer Incidence in Zhongshan City in 1970～1999

To investigate the incidence of bladder cancer and its trend in Zhongshan city from 1970 to 1999,and to provide scientific information for its prevention and treatment.The bladder cancer incidence data from Zhongshan cancer registry in Zhongshan city in 1970～1999 were collected.The number of incident cases,crude incidence rate,China- and world-standardized incidence rate were analyzed. The world-standardized incidence rates of bladder cancer in Zhongshan city in 1970～1999 were 2.50/105 in male?0.44/105 in female,2.97/105 in overall population respectively.And there were obviously increasing trend of incidence in Zhongshan city in 1970～1999.[Conclusions] Although the incidence of bladder cancer in Zhongshan city in 1970～1995 was low,it was at the high level compared with those of China experimental rural areas at the corresponding time. It suggests that prevention and treatment for bladder cancer should be Strengthened.
