Abstract

Resistin is a hormone secreted from adipose tissue and cause insulin resistance.Researches confirmed that there exists positive correlation between resistin and insulin resistance.Obesity can increase the concentration of resistin and cause insulin resistance.Single nuclear polymorphisms of resistin are the hot spotin these years.But the relationship between resistin and type 2 diabetes mellitus is uncertain and needs further studying.
