Abstract

Objective The observed and analyze the efficacy and advantages of vinpocetine in treatment of posterior circulation ischemia. Methods One hundred and ten patients were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group(60 cases) received vinpocetine 30 mg,intravenous drip, while the control group(50 cases) received salvia 20 ml,once a day,10 days for a course of treatment in both groups. The clinical situation and some index(blood and urine routine, hemorheology, blood sugar, blood lipids, liver and kidney function,TCD,brain CT) were observed before and after the treatment. Results The total effective rate was 95.00% in the treatment group, and was better than that of the control group with an effective rate of 84.00%.The adverse reactions of treatment group were mild. The rate of taking effect on days 2 had a significant difference(treatment group was 88.33%,control group was 52.00%,P0.05).Conclusion Vinpocetine is a good and safe agent which can improve microcirculation of patients, and is effective for the vertigo caused by posterior circulation ischemia.
