An observation on the refraction of pupils.

Abstract

Objective To study the refraction of pupils,detect ametropia in lower grade students.Methods The refraction stastus of 75 pupils(150 eyes)aged 6 to 15 years has been determined with retinoscopy after tropicamide cycloplegia for three years.Results The results showed that 102 eyes(68%) had mild myopia,33 eyes(22%) moderate myopia and 15 eyes(10%) severe myopia.The degree of myopia in great majority of students increased with the increase of age.Conclusion The degree of myopia in pupil is in direct proportion to the age.So trainning pupil’s habits using their eyes and health care are the important and essential things.
