Relation between expression of E-cad and metastasis of cervical squamous carcinoma using tissue chip

Abstract
Objective To study the expression of E-cad in cervical squamous carcinoma and its role in metastasis.Methods There were 10 cases of normal cervical tissue,63 cases of cervical squamous carcinoma without lymph node metastasis and 63 cases of cervical squamous carcinoma with lymph node metastasis.Of them the expression of E-cad was researched by immunohistochemistry using tissue chip.Results Ecad expression was higher in normal cervical epithelium than in cervical squamous carcinoma.The E-cad positive rate in patients without lymph nodes metastasis was higher than that in those with lymph nodes metastasis(P0.05). Conclusion The expression of E-cad has close relationship with lymph node metastasis.Expression of E-cad is important to evaluate the prognosis of cervical cancer.
