On the Countermeasures in Narrowing the Income Gap Between Urban and Rural Residents in China

Along with the economic growth,the income gap between urban and rural residents in China is being constantly widened,which has become an existing fact.On the basis of a study concerning the present income state between the urban and rural residents in our country,the author of this paper holds that we should correctly understand the reasons that cause the income gap and take effective measures to narrow the gap,which is becoming increasingly urgent to promote joint development between urban and rural areas and to ensure social harmony and stability.
