Abstract

A natural high molecule modified starch cationic flocculent is synthesized with diallydimethyl ammonium chloride and acrylamide as raw material, using complex initiator and there-member polymerizing in aqueous solution. This paper describes the experiment study and results.Factors affecting the products' intrinsic viscosity, grafting percentage, monomer conversion, and cationic degree are detailed. They are as follows: monomer addition method, ration of starch and monomer, ratio of monomer, concentration of initiator, reaction time, and reaction temperature.
