Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of MIC-1 and PCNA in human brain astrocytoma and its correlation with Malignant degree and pathologic stage. Methods The expression of MIC-1 and PCNA in 60 cases of the human brain astrocytoma and 5 cases of normal brain tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results MIC-1 and PCNA in normal brain tissue do not express but the expression level with tumor pathological level increased significantly higher in the human brain astrocytoma, its expression of Positive rate in normal brain tissue, low grade and high level astrocytoma is compared between the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05) and expression of MIC-1 had a positive correlation with the expression of PCNA(P0.05).Conclusion Expression of MIC-1 had a positive correlation with the expression of PCNA in human brain astrocytoma,Prompt the excessive expression of MIC-1 of tumor cell proliferation with promoting role.it may become the new candidate tumor markers,For judgment of malignant degree and pathological grade provide valuable theory and basis.
