Between the History and Symbol:A Discussion on Feng Dao(冯道) in the Song Dynasty

Feng Dao(冯道)is a typical civilian in the Five Dynasties.He was highly respected in early Northern Song Dynasty.However,in the middle and later periods of Northern Song,he was criticized by some people.In the Southern Song Dynasty,Feng Dao was totally repudiated and became the ideological symbol of cattywampus and shameless person,which influenced the evaluation of him of later ages.All these diverse opinions reflect the different political and cultural characteristics in the Song Dynasty.
