Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical curative effect of fluoxetine in treatment of patients with stroke and post-stroke depression(PSD).Methods A total of 60 patients with stroke were divided into two groups: trial group(n=30) and control group(n=30).DNF and HAMD(Hamilton Depression Scale)assessment systems were applied to evaluate the clinical effect before using fluoxetine and at eight weeks after treatment, respectively.TESS(treatment emergent symptom scale) assessment system was applied to evaluate the side reactions at eight weeks after treatment. Results The incidence for PSD was 36.67%,and most of them were mild to moderate depression. The results of DNF and HAMD in patients of trial group were significantly better than those of control group(P0.05).After eight weeks of treatment, there was no significant difference in result of TESS between these two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Fluoxetine has been applied in treatment of patients with stroke and post-stroke depression,it can not only remit symptoms of depression, but it also can promote the recovery of neurological function.Meanwhile, its side reactions are less and it showed high reliability. It can be used as the preferred drug in clinical application for treatment of patients with stroke and post-stroke depression.
