A Clinical Experience of Treating Groin Hernia with the Mesh & Plug Hernia Repair

Abstract

Objective: To summarize the clinical experience(46 cases) of the mesh plug repair of groin hernias.Method: 46 patients were treated by mesh plug hernia repair with Bard Mesh PerFix Plug,C.R.Bard Inc.The operation time,postoperative pain,patient's ability recovery,complications and recurrence rate were followed up.Result: The mesh plug hernia repair had a greater advantage than the traditional hernia repair procedure,such as surgical performance,less postoperative pain,quicker recovery,shorter period of hospitalization,fewer complication and lower recurrence.Conclusion: It is currently the most popular choice for a convenient hernia repair procedure.It has been an outstanding method in treating groin hernia.
