Abstract
During the construction of the Stage I Project of Nansha Harbor reach;non_native sand dredgers often enter the waters of construction area to carry out sand borrowing. This not only has disturbed the normal construction in the fiedl, but also brought about hidden danger to the safety of the ferry.A two_dimensional numerical model of flow and sediment is established to simulate the effects of sand borrowing in waters of Nansha Harbor reach on hydrodynamic conditions and sediment movement in Nansha Harbor reach and analize its advantages and disadvantages.Rational suggestions are put forward for sand borrowing in waters near the harbor reach.
