Abstract
The movable-bed wave sediment transport model tests were used to study the sediment transport conditions for 3 design schemes of the Rizhao sailing harbor. The scour and deposition distributions in the harbor engineering area under the normal wave and high wave actions were predicted by analyzing the test results, and it is shown from the analysis results that the construction of the Rizhao sailing harbor engineering will not exert a great influence on the neighboring coasts, and heavy depositions will not take place in both sailing channel and harbor basin. However, the foot protection structures shall be constructed at the sediment retaining dam foot place to prevent the dam foot from scouring.
