Abstract
A regeneration system from leaves of chrysanthemum (Dendranthema morifolium) was developed. The optimum media were obtained for callus, shoot regeneration and shoot rooting. On the media with 6-BA, NAA and 2,4-D, calli were induced from leaf explants. After explants with calli were transferred onto MS media with 6-BA and NAA to trigger shoot regeneration, adventitious shoots were regenerated from leaf explants of chrysanthemum, and the medium(MS+6-BA(3mg/L)+NAA(1mg/L)), which could directly induce shoot regeneration, was selected. AgNO3 enhanced shoot induction rate. Shoots were rooted on half-strength MS media with or without IBA or NAA. The rooted plantlets survived in greenhouse.
