Effect observation of recombinant human endostatin combined with cisplatin on treatment of lung cancer complicated with malignant pleural effusion and malignant pericardial effusion

Abstract

Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of recombinant human endostatin combined with cisplatin in the treatment of lung cancer complicated with malignant pleural effusion and malignant pericardial effusion. Methods A total of 25 lung cancer patients complicated with malignant serous cavity effusion were selected,in which 21 patients had pleural effusion and 4 patients had pericardial effusion. After closed drainage of pleural effusion by performing with cavity puncture catheter,all patients were conducted with recombinant human endostatin combined with cisplatin. The clinical efficacy and side effects were observed. Results The clinical effective rate and benefit rate were71. 4%( 15 /21) and 95. 2%( 20 /21) respectively for lung cancer patients with malignant pleural effusion by combinant therapy. The clinical effective rate and benefit rate were 100%( 4 /4) for lung cancer patients with malignant pericardial effusion. After treatment,there were 3( 14. 3%) cases with chest pain and one case( 4. 8%) with T wave change in lung cancer patients with malignant pleural effusion,and one case with( 25. 0%) hepatic injury,one case( 25. 0%) with T wave change and one case with( 25. 0%) complete right bundle branch block( CRBBB) in lung cancer patients with malignant pericardial effusion. Conclusion Recombinant human endostatin combined with cisplatin is effective in treating lung cancer patients with malignant pleural effusion and malignant pericardial effusion.
