Abstract

Objective To compare the diagnostic value of magnetic resonance images(MRI)and arthroscopy in the diagnosis of meniscus injuries. Methods The MRI and arthroscopic findings in 53 knee joints of 52 cases suspected as meniscus injury were analyzed. Results Depending on the exploration in arthroscopic imaging in 53 of the 106 menisci of 52 patients, the agreement of MRI for diagnosis of meniscus juries was 77.4 %,the sensitivity was 69.6 %,the specificity was 86.0 %,the positive predictive value was 84.8%.Conclusion MRI has a higher diagnostic value in meniscus injury of the knee joints.
