Abstract

Objective To analyze the MRI findings of knee joint meniscus injuries and assess its clinical value. Methods MRI and arthroscopic imaging of 80 injured knee joints with 160 meniscuses were retrospectively analyzed. The meniscus injuries were classified into grades 0~Ⅲ according to the signal intensities of meniscus on MR images and the morphological changes.Later the MRI features were compared with arthroscopic imaging respectively. Results The rate of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of MRI for the tear of meniscus was 88.7%,83.1%,97.2%.Conclusion MR imaging is of important clinical value in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of the meniscus injury of the knee joint.MRI should be used as a routine or important method in diagnosis of the injury of meniscus of knee joint.
