Abstract

In this paper, the modal characteristic of a two-wheel motorcycle frame is analyzed by the Finite Element Method(FEM) and the Experimental Modal Analysis(EMA) respectively. The compare between the two methods proves that the finite modal is correct. Then, the frame's former ten natural frequencies and corresponding mode shapes are obtained to avoid resonance and noise, and strengthen stability and comfortability during the design of the motorcycle frame. The study supplies foundation for theory to improve the design of the frame.
