Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of new flexible open loop anterior chamber intraocular lens in implantation. Methods Seventy AC IOL implanted eyes(67 cases) including 25 eyes with primary implantation and 45 eyes with secondary implantation were followed up 1 month to 60 months. Results Of the 70 eyes,9(13%) had a final visual acuity of 1.0 or better,28(40%) between 0.5~0.9 and 31(44%) between 0.1~0.4 and 2(3%) 0.1 or below.Postroperative main complications were iridocyclitis and high intraocular pressure. Conclusion New flexible open loop AC IOL is safe and effective for IOL implantation.
