Abstract
Objective:To observe the effect of BN on serum MDA and SOD of patients with ischemic cerebral infarction. Methods: The patients with ischemic cerebral infarction aged 50~70.They were divided into 3 groups: acute, recovery and control groups. There were 30 patients in every group. The fasting blood was picked in the lst day ,the 2nd week and the end of the 2nd month, respectively. The serum MDA content and RBC SOD activity were detected. Results: The serum MDA content after experiment was lower than that before experiment in acute and recovery groups. There was significant difference in acute group (P0.05), but not in recovery group. The RBC SOD activity after experiment was higher than that before and middle experiment in acute recovery groups. Conclusion: BN had antioxidant properties which can increase the activity of SOD in blood of the patients with ischemic cerebral infarction and decrease the content of lipid peroxidant MDA.
