Hand hygiene compliance of medical staff in primary hospitals:investigation and analysis

OBJECTIVE To improve the hand hygiene practices and compliance of medical staff in the primary hospital.METHODS A field survey and self-assessment were conducted on the hand hygiene knowledge and compliance of the first-line medical staff.RESULTS The average score of hand hygiene knowlege of the nurses was 83.1,which was higher than doctors(78.5) and other staff(61.9);the compliance of hand hygience from top to low were as follows:nurses(71.9%);doctors(47.1%) and other staff(16.7%),respectively.CONCLUSION To strengthen the training of related knowledge of nosocomial infection can effectively improve the hand hygiene compliance of medical staff;Increase the primary hospital infrastructure input and strengthen supervision and management of hand hygiene can effectively prevent and control hospital infection.
