Abstract
By introduce the process of development of Chinese Buddhism in the south part of China and the beginning of construction of Buddhist Grottoes in Xi-Xia Mountain and its art style, this article considered on the origin of art style of Pre-Tang dynasty at Dunhuang Grottoes and put forwards a suggestion that in successor to the West Region art style influence, the Dunhuang art were received the influence over the south cultural during early 6th century beginning at the Western Wei Dynasty and it was a continuing trend over to Dunhuang in succession of the Northern Zhou Dynasty?Sui Dynasty until early-Tang, therefore Dunhuang art came to its full-developed period.
