Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of digital subtraction angiography (DSA) on intracranial aneurysms. Methods DSA were performed in 48 patients. The aneurysms features such as locations, size, numbers of aneurysms and the examination methods were analyzed. Results The single aneurysms were detected in 44 patients and 4 patients had multiple aneurysm. Aneurysm locations were list as follows: posterior communicating aneurysm in 23 patients, anterior communication artery aneurysm in 9 patients, internal carotid artery aneurysm in 5 aptients, and other locations (n=9). Aneurysm size had the following characteristics: 11 cases were small, 22 were middle, 17 were large, and 2 were giant aneurysm. According to the sharp of aneurysm, 37 cases were sacculated aneurysms, 14 were fusiform aneurysms and was dissecting aneurysms. Conclusions DSA can diagnose intracranial aneurysm accurately.
