Abstract
Objective To study the factors related to serum uric acid in type 2 diabetic patients and to investigate the effect of serum uric acid levels on the metabolism and complications. Methods 279 cases were divided into 2 groups according to their uric acid level, then the relationship between serum uric acid and metabolic parameters and complications in two groups were observed. Results Patients with hyperuricacidemia in types 2 diabetes had markedly higher the rate of male,BMI,Fins,HOMA-IR,TG,TC,UAE and the incidence of hypertension, coronary heart disease and obesity, markedly lower HDL-C.Conclusion The hyperuricemia might be a high risk factor of type 2 diabetes for complications.
