Expression and clinical significance of CD44v6 and PCNA in gastric cancer.

Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of CD44v6 and PCNA in gastric cancer.Methods strptavidin peroxidase Immunohistochemical method was used to examine CD44v6 and PCNA expression in 81 gastric cancer tissues.ResulTs The expression rates of CD44v6 and PCNA in gastric cancer tissues were 51.9% and 49.4. CD44v6 and PCNA expression had no relation with the typing of gastric cancer tissues (P0.05),but had close correlation to pathological grading,lymph node metastasis,depth of invasion,liver metastasis (P0.05).Conclusion CD44v6 and PCNA expression might be a valuable marker in assessing the biological behavior,and even prognosis of gastric cancer.
