Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of levofloxacin (Cravit) in the treatment of respiratory tract (infections. )METHODS Eighty patients with respiratory tract infections were divided into two groups in random. The therapy group was injected with levofloxacin 0.3 g bid; the control group was injected with cefoperazone (2 g) bid. Both courses of treatment were 7-14 days. RESULTS The total efficacy rates in therapy and control groups were 87.5% and 75.0%, respectively. The clearance rates of bacteria were 86.21% and 75.00%, respectively. The side effects were all scarce and light in both groups. CONCLUSIONS The effect of levofloxacin is exact and levofloxacin can be used as the first choice drug in the treatment of respiratory tract infections.
