Effect of Astragalus Injection Combined with Valsartan in Treating Diabetic Nephropathy

Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of astragalus injection combined with valsartan in treating diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods 60 patients with diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into two groups(n=30),which were both given conventional therapy.The control group took orally valsartan daily while the therapy group were treated with astragalus injection and valsartan daily both for three weeks.Results The total effective rate of therapy group was statistically higher than that of control group(P0.05).The proteinuria,trace of uro-albumin and the serum creatinine after treatment were all decreased obviously compared with the index before treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Astragalus injection combined with valsartan in treating patients with diabetic nephropathy can decrease the level of urine protein,trace of albumin and the serum creatinine.
