Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy of general combined epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia during operation in senile patients with esophageal carcinoma. Methods 76 patients with carcinoma of esophagus were randomly divided into combined anesthesia group (n=38) and general group (n=38).Combined anesthesia group underwent general combined with epidural anesthesia and general anesthesia group underwent general anesthesia only. Mean artery pressure (MAP), heart rate (HR),general anesthesia drug dosage, time of postoperative revival and extubation were recorded. Results Both groups obtained good anesthesia effect. MAP,HR,general anesthesia drug dosage, time of postoperative revival and extubation in combined anesthesia group were lower than that in general anesthesia group (P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion General combined epidural anesthesia can stabilize the hemodynamics during operation, postoperative revival quickly, which may be a better anesthesia method.
