Abstract

Since the expansion of college student enrollment in 1999,the number of college students has been sharply increasing. At the same time, with the transformation of medical model from the traditional biomedical one to the bio-psycho-socio one, people have an increasing concern over their health. Therefore,in the new health care system and higher education system, the traditional model of clinical practice and teaching quality are faced with tremendous impacts.Medicine is a discipline which involves practice and application of the science, and experiment teaching as an important part of higher medical education has an irreplaceable role to play because it is not only supplementary to theory teaching but also an important link in teaching which trains students' operating ability, analyzing ability and problem-solving ability. It is also an important means of developing students' research thinking and innovative spirit. However, there are still some problems in the teaching process at medical colleges and universities. The article first analyzes the status of teaching at medical colleges and universities in the new situation, and then explores strategies for coping with the teaching reforms so as to upgrade the quality of teaching.
