Abstract

The paper reveals Kang You-wei's thinking path from theConstitutional MonarchytoXu Jun Republicanby analyzing the background after the Revolution of 1911,Kang You-wei's cultural and ideological background,and enlightenment gained from Meiji Japan emperor system and so on.The following conclusion is reached:Although Kang You-wei was still entrenched inThe Worldconcept under the tide of democracy and republican,he wanted to achieve the integration of the Republic of China after the collapse of empire,and optimize the social resources as effectively as possible with the cohesion inXu Junsystem.Such value orientation should be affirmed.
