Home Education in the East and in the West

Late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping once said, 'The country's modernization is based on the talent; the talent is based on education and education is based on the family. Home education is a kind of education practice for human beings, as people from all countries and nationalities consider the family as a person's first school, and parents as first teachers. Whether in China or in Western countries, no matter in ancient or modern times, home education plays a fundamental role in the learning process. In recent years, Western education concepts have spread into China. Facing the traditional as well as modern educational thoughts, many Chinese parents are at loose ends.
