Clinical Efficacy of Baixuan Xiatare Capsules Combined with Acitretin Capsules and Orsalin Ointment in Treatment of Plaque Psoriasis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Baixuan Xiatare capsules combined with acitretin capsules and orsalin ointment in the treatment of plaque psoriasis.Methods A total of 162 patients with plaque psoriasis were randomly divided into test group(n=82)and control group(n=80).The test group was treated with Baixuan Xiatare capsules combined with acitretin capsules and orsalin ointment,while the control group with acitretin capsules and orsalin ointment.The course of treatment was 8weeks for both groups.The Psoriasis Area and Severity Index(PASI)was determined before and after 4and 8weeks of treatment,and the treatment outcome was compared between the two groups.Results After 4and 8weeks of treatment,both groups showed significant decreases in PASI(P0.01),and the test group had a significantly higher decrease(P0.01);the test group had a significantly better clinical outcome than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Baixuan Xiatare capsules combined with acitretin capsules and orsalin ointment can significantly improve the treatment outcome of plaque psoriasis.
