Abstract
Objective To determine the efficacy of duloxetine combined with cognitive behavior therapy( CBT) in the treatment for somatoform disorder. Methods 60 patients met the criteria of somatoform disorder in CCMD-3 were randomly divided into study group treated with duloxetine combined with CBT and control group treated with duloxetine monotherapy for 8 weeks. The efficacy was assessed with Hamilton Depression Rating Scale( HAMD),Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale( HAMA),symptom cheaklist-90( SCL-90) and the side effect was assessed with Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale( TESS). Results The effective rate in study group was significantly higher than that in control group at the end of the treatment( 90% vs. 63%; χ2= 23. 89,P 0. 01). There were significant differences in factor score of somatoform in SCL-90,total score of HAMD,HAMA between study group and control group at the end of the 4th,6th and 8th week of the treatment( P 0. 01). The side effects were mild and there was no significant difference between the two groups. Conclusion Duloxetine combined with CBT is better than duloxetine monotherapy in the treatment for somatoform disorder.
