Clinical studies on insulin glargine combined with insulin lispro treatment for hyperglycaemia in acute pancreatitis

Objective To observe the effects of insulin glargine combined with insulin lispro on hyperglycaemia in acute pancreatitis.Methods Forty-two acute pancreatitis patients with hyperglycaemia were divided into two groups randomly.Group G+L was treated with subcutaneous injection of insulin glargine combined with insulin lispro,while group CSII was treated with continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion by insulin pump.The changes of blood sugar,compliance time of blood sugar,hypoglycemia situation and the cost were observed and analyzed.Results There was no significant difference in control of blood sugar,compliance time of blood sugar and hypoglycemia situation between the 2 groups(P0.05).Significant differences were found in the cost of reducing blood sugar between the 2 groups(P0.05).Conclusion Insulin glargine combined with insulin lispro is an economical,safe and effective treatment for hyperglycaemia in acute pancreatitis.
