Negative Transfer of Mother Tongue to College English Writing

Mother tongue transfer is inevitable in language learning and the impact of negative transfer of mother tongue to English writing is strong enough to hamper learners' development of writing ability. An analysis of negative transfer in lexical, syntactic and contextual levels in this paper is done in search for effective approaches to college students' writing improvement.
