Abstract
Mother tongue transfer is inevitable in language learning and the impact of negative transfer of mother tongue to college English writing is strong enough to hamper learners’ development of writing ability.This thesis analyzes the negative transfer of mother tongue to college English writing in vocabulary,grammar,semantic meaning and discourse and the reasons for the negative transfer.It also puts forward some effective teaching strategies of college English writing
