This paper discusses strategies for translating scientific and technical terminology. Five commonly used translation approaches and principles that should be abided in the process of translating terminology are represented. The writer holds that cultural situations at different historical moments generate various translation ethics and take farreaching impacts on the approaches and strategies of translating scientific and technical terminology.
