Abstract
AIM To probe into use of absorbable vicryl (polyglactin 910) mesh in acute traumatic spleen and the change of immunological indexes after spleen neoplasty. METHODS Spleen neoplasty in situs was made on 16 patients with traumatic splenic rupture with absorbable vicrul mesh, and the effects of the operation and immunological indexes were evaluate one year after operation. RESULTS The spleen neoplasty in situs was a success in 16 cases and immunological indexes were gradually recovered to normal level after operation. The shape of spleen can not change. CONCLUSION Spleen neoplasty in situs with absorbable vicryl mesh is a safe and reliable operative method for traumatic splenic rupture as well as this method can be used in spleen ruptures of grade Ⅱ~Ⅲ and some Ⅳ.
