Characteristics of the Times and the Main Achievements of Chinese Historiography Since the 20th Century

Since the 20th century,Chinese historiography transfered from the traditional style of compilation to modern historiography,showing the situation of interaction and integration of China and Western style and thought.On the one hand,the traditional style and thought still show a remarkable vitality,the traditional historiography has been reflected and practiced;0n the other hand,the chapter body quickly becomes the most important form of historiography,dominating Chinese history compilation context.In this period of history situation,attempts and efforts of 20 historians constructing Chinese historiography is particularly valuable,giving the 20th-century Chinese historiography unique characteristics of the times and national identity.
