Analysis on the Harmonious Development of Mass Sports and Competitive Sports from the Perspective of Construction of Powerful Sports Country

From the perspective of displaying the public service function of sports,the paper focuses on the controversial issue that for the mass sports and competitive sports which one is more important.The paper,from the perspective of system,proposes that both of them are the two pillars of sports.Their relation is not one surpassing the other.None of them are dispensable.They need mutual development and progress.The article proposes that competitive sports have the features of invigorating national spirit,enhancing national cohesion and mass sharing.It indicates that it is non-rival and non-exclusive.Therefore,competitive sports have strong nature of public product.The government shall continue to support it.The article reckons that competitive sports and mass sports have obvious difference.They shall be treated differently and they shall not be confused into one.In the future the competitive sports face systematical challenge.Deepening reform is the inevitable route.The paper also actively proposes to spread China's traditional health perseverance and exercises measures.It reflects the nature of sports which is people-oriented and benefitting people.It is an important part in servicing for people as a function of sports.
