Change of Cell Adhesion Molecules and Antibodies to Cytomegalovirus in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease and its Clinical Significance

Objective To study the changes of soluble P-selectin(sP-sel) in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD) and to explore its clinical relation to CHD.Methods Plasma soluble sP-sel were detected by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA) in 60 patients with CHD,and compared with healthy subjects.Results Plasma sP-sel was significantly elevated in patients with CHD and differed significantly compared with control group(t=5.794,P0.01).In addition,the plasma sP-sel in patients with acute myocardial infarction(AMI) was elevated more significantly than in old myocardial infarction(OMI),unstable angina pectoris(UAP) and stable angina(SA)(t=5.350～8.154,P0.01).The levels of sP-sel in patients with UAP were elevated more significantly than in SA(t=3.524,P0.01).Conclusion Inflammation participates in the occurance and development of CHD,the levels of sP-sel can reflect the severity of CHD at some degree.
